Our neighbor’s cat is Emmie;
ours is "Minnie! Minnie! Min!"
And when they get together
it’s "Let the fun begin!"
Hide-&-seek and run-around -
in the bushes up the tree -
pretend to fight and run some more!
They’re cute as they can be!

Minnie’s collar is red;
if she gets stuck, it comes off her head.
One day the collar was gone;
I said, "Minnie, find your collar and bring it back home."
I heard her meowing the very next day
in the kitchen like she was trying to say,
"Come here, Karl - come look at this!"
Well you know that’s just what I did.
And I got a great big surprise
when I saw - before my very eyes -
on the back porch on our Welcome mat
was the red collar: she’d brought it back!

There was a Pennsylvanian poodle
who was really quite wild about noodles;
liver and such he never would touch -
but spaghetti - oh, man - he’d eat oodles!

There once was a French Pekinese
who was literally covered in fleas:
from his head to his toes; even inside his nose -
coulda been worse - coulda been bees!

The world is wide and wonderful -
so much to see and do.
How many things you’ll do and see
well, that’s only up to - you.
